Ways with wood with Mark Rayner – 53
Difficulty level: Easy
You will need: a clean cloth, paintbrush, paint stirrer, piece of dressed timber measuring approx 90mm x 90mm x 40mm (ours came from a renovator’s centre), PVA glue, sandpaper, saw and a wooden table leg. Resene Aquaclear gloss and Resene Colorwood Enhance – Resene Black.
To get the look: Mark painted the background wall with Resene SpaceCote Flat tinted to Resene Vitra.
Other ideas: For a lighter brown finish use Resene Colorwood Enhance in Resene Walnut.

Always ensure lit candles are under adult supervision. Always extinguish all candles before going to sleep. Replace candles when they are at least 20mm from the top edge of the candleholder.
