Wooden photo frame
Interior: Use Resene Colorwood and Resene Aquaclear to restore an old wooden photo frame to its former glory.

You will need
To get the look: Mark painted the background wall with Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen tinted to Resene Alabaster.
Other ideas: For a reddish brown effect use Resene Colorwood tinted to Resene Japanese Maple.
How to stain a wooden photo frame
Step one
Remove any paper tape, glass and old hanging devices from the back of the photo frame.
Step two
Sand the photo frame with medium sandpaper. Once back to bare wood, finish off with fine sandpaper.
Step three
Wipe off any sanding residue with a clean cloth.
Step four
Carefully stir the Resene Colorwood tinted to Resene Dark Oak.
Step five
Apply one coat of Resene Colorwood tinted to Resene Dark Oak to the photo frame. Allow the stain to penetrate the wood for a few minutes.
Step six
Wearing rubber gloves, wipe off any excess Resene Colorwood tinted to Resene Dark Oak and allow to dry.
Step seven
Carefully stir the Resene Aquaclear Natural Flat.
Step eight
Apply three coats of Resene Aquaclear Natural Flat to the photo frame allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
