How to upcycle pots

Your will need:

Cost: $25 excluding paint, sealer & plants.

Instructions

Step 1 Step one
With the non-permanent marker, mark the bottles with head and ear shapes depending on your choice of creature. Cut the shapes out. Clean off the marks. Using the test pots, apply enough coats to the outside of the bottle animals to give a good painted surface.
Step 2 Step two
Mark the creature’s features, paint using a fine brush and outline using a permanent marker.
Step 3 Step three
Undercoat the terracotta pots with the terracotta sealer. Allow to dry. Create outlines with masking tape and rubber bands.
Step 4 Step four
Paint the pots (I used Resene white, Suzie Q, Turkish Delight, Steam Roller, Half Grey Chateau, Drop Dead Gorgeous and Gumboot) and allow to dry.
