How to build a firewood stacker
DIY project from NZ Gardener magazine
In this easy peasy winter project, Jacob Leaf builds a cinder block wood stand.
You will need
- 2 x 400mm x 190mm x 190mm cinder blocks
- 5m X 75mm x 50mm H3.2 radiata
Paint colours:
- Resene Keppel
- Resene Paprika
- Resene Aquamarine
- Resene Torea Bay (Vroom)
- Resene Pizazz (Hi Jinx)
Cost: $50.00, excluding all the Resene paints.
Instructions
Step one
Cut the timber into 4 X 1200mm pieces. Then sand off any rough edges.
Step two
Prime and paint the timber and the cinder blocks.
Step three
Insert the 4 pieces of timber into the cinder block hollows and rest them at an angle to form a V-shape.
Step four
Stack with wood.
