When Brendan Foot Motors in Lower Hutt had to improve their facilities recently they were facing the question of what to do with the very weathered asphalt car yard that was showing the stress of having numerous cars traffic across it. They opted for a quick and budget friendly option of 100 litres of Resene Blacktop.

Resene Blacktop is a cold applied, heavybodied, slip-resistant topping for rejuvenating aged or worn asphalt. It’s based on a bitumen emulsion with graded fillers that dries to a durable, weather and wear resistant finish. It is also Environmental Choice approved.

The car yard is now looking fresh and new again, and most importantly for Brendan Foot Motors, smart and presentable in keeping with their product range of cars.

Resene Blacktop is ideal to renew and refurbish old asphalt on driveways, commercial sites and tennis courts. Any lines can be repainted easily using Resene Lumbersider waterborne low sheen paint.

For ease of application, Resene Blacktop can be applied with the hi-solids roller sleeve or sprayed over large areas at a considerably lower cost and inconvenience than re-asphalting. The availability and ease of laying cold asphalt means small potholes are easily filled before applying Resene Blacktop to ensure the final finish is smooth and even.
