Whangarei Reyburn House Art Gallery
The refurbishment of Whangarei's Reyburn House Art Gallery has used contrasting interior and exterior palettes to enhance the structurally beautiful heritage design.

A stunning palette of interior colours including Resene Prussian Blue, Resene Festival, Resene Zuccini, Resene Green Pea, Resene Amazon, Resene Wedgewood, Resene Pohutukawa and Resene Finn chosen from the Resene BS 5252 chart and The Range have transformed the interior environment into a visual feast. The boldly painted walls perfectly offset the artworks displayed upon them.
The exterior palette has an air of neutrality in keeping with the heritage architecture. A palette of Resene Sand (exterior walls), Resene Sandstone (roof), Resene Cloudy (verandah decking), Resene Soapstone (verandah posts and fretwork) and Resene Ebony accents (doors, window sills and top rail balustrade) provides a deceptively relaxing wrapping for the bold interior.
