It’s easy to create this simple room freshener with a little bit of help from Resene.

You will need

  • Clean damp cloth
  • Glass jar
  • Lavender
  • Paintbrushes
  • Secateurs

To get the look: Mark painted the background wall with Resene SpaceCote Flat tinted to Resene China Ivory.

Other ideas: For a soft green effect use Resene testpots of Resene Anise, Resene Dell, Resene Dingley and Resene Koru.

How to make a room freshner

Step 1

Clean the glass jar with a damp cloth and allow to dry.
Step 2

Apply random spots of Resene Sebedee to the inside of the jar and allow to dry.
Step 3

Apply random spots of Resene Kamikaze to the inside of the jar and allow to dry.
Step 4

Apply random spots of Resene Japonica to the inside of the jar and allow to dry.
Step 5
Step five
Apply smaller random spots of Resene Wax Flower to the inside of the jar and allow to dry.
Step 6

Paint the inside of the jar with one coat of Resene Half Alabaster and allow to dry.

Step seven
Paint the inside of the jar with a second coat of Resene Half Alabaster and allow to dry.
Step 8
Step eight
Clip a woody sprig of lavender and place inside the jar.
