It’s easy to create this present for a special birthday with a little bit of help from Resene.

- Paintbrushes
- Resene Aquapel & Terracotta Sealer
- Resene testpots in your choice of colour. Mark used:
- Resene FOMO
- Resene Parsley
- Terracotta pot

Top tip: Choose a plant with soft green leaves or flowers to complete the present.

How to make a birthday pot
Step one
Apply one coat of Resene Aquapel & Terracotta Sealer to the terracotta pot inside and out – you might need a grown up to help with this bit. Allow to dry.
Step two
Paint the outside and inner top rim of the pot with a second coat of Resene FOMO and allow to dry.
Step three
Paint the outside and inner top rim of the pot with a second coat of Resene FOMO and allow to dry.
Step four
Paint the words ‘Happy Birthday’ on the front of the pot with Resene Parsley. How cool is that?
