Turn a humble wooden frame into a pretty butterfly picture with a little bit of help from Resene.
Resene art with Mark Rayner - Project 56
Difficulty level: Moderate
You will need: Clean cloth, kitchen towel, paintbrush, Resene Aquaclear gloss, Resene Lustacryl tinted to Resene Black, Resene Quick Dry, Resene testpot of Resene Dark Buff, sandpaper, self-adhesive butterfly wallpaper decals (ours came from ‘Spotlight’), wooden picture frame with MDF backing board.
To get the look: Mark painted the background wall with Resene SpaceCote Flat tinted to Resene Persian Red.
Other ideas: For a paler look paint the backing board with Resene Colonial White and the frame with Resene Butter.
