Resene kids art with Mark Rayner - Project 71

Difficulty level: Easy

You will need: Artists’ paintbrushes, Piece of coloured card Resene Testpots of Resene Japanese Laurel, Resene Light Tan and Resene Yellow Sea

Top tip: Be sure to work quite quickly when applying the paint as you don’t want it to dry out before you fold the card.

Here's another idea: This juicy strawberry was painted in the same way using Resene Kermit, Resene Mai Tai and Resene Pulse.

Step 1
Step one
Fold the piece of card in half to make a crease down the middle and open it back out. On one side of the fold, paint half a pineapple shape using Resene Yellow Sea, as shown.

On the other side of the fold, paint a few spiky leaves using Resene Japanese Laurel, as shown.
Step 3

Paint a few blobs of Resene Light Tan over the pineapple shape, as shown.
Step 4
Step four
Fold the card back in half and press together firmly. Leave for a few seconds and open it back out to reveal your fruity masterpiece!
