Resene kids art with Mark Rayner - Project 85
Difficulty level: Moderate
You will need: Paintbrushes (including an artists’ brush), Piece of thick cardboard, Pink glitter, Resene Art Action Quick Dry, Resene Art Action glaze (gloss), Resene Testpot of Resene Smitten, Resene Unicorn stencil glued to a piece of thin card, Scissors
Top tip: Make sure you keep the picture flat until the Resene Art Action Glaze has dried – otherwise it might run.

Step one
Carefully cut out the unicorn stencil shape, as shown – you might need a grown-up to help with this bit.
Step two
Apply one coat of Resene Art Action Quick Dry to the cardboard and allow to dry. Apply two coats of Resene Smitten and allow two hours for each coat to dry.
Step three
Place the stencil on the card and paint a generous amount of Resene Art Action Glaze over the cut out area.
Step four
Immediately sprinkle the wet Resene Art Action Glaze with glitter and carefully remove the stencil. Allow to dry for two hours and then turn upside down and shake off any excess glitter. How glitter-tastic!
