Ka mua, ka muri. Remembering our past as we look to the future. The story of Ngati Kuia iwi growing kumara in our local area.
Background to mural creation:
This mural was created to recognise our connection with Ngati Kuia iwi and to share stories about our past, to recognise who we are as part of that story in the Waimeha area, acknowledging our river/awa and mountains/maunga and to beautify our environment with the visual arts.
