did you know?  Chintz patterns date back to the 1600s, originating from Calicut in India. Like many wallpaper designs, they had their origins as a textile and were originally made from glazed calico and often printed with large flower patterns. The designs became popular in Europe in the 17th century and were highly sought after in the court of Versailles. While the style has gone in and out of favour over the years, it is often revived as a key design trend.
