This update on the classic combination of pink and green manages to be fresh, surprising and utterly luxurious all at once. Where once the combination might have been a prettier, botanical mix of sage greens and rose pinks, here the move into khaki and dusky blush make the space decidedly more grown-up. The combination of Resene Bubble N Squeak on the floor and the deeper Resene Waiouru on the wall create a strong defined space, which throws the pink chair and artwork into the spotlight. The metallic accessories and chair legs also add a touch of luxury.
The drawers in paler Resene Napa, add relief to the strength of the khaki green as does the pale vase in Resene Double Ash, a good smoky neutral with a hint of green which works perfectly within this palette. The terracotta in the Resene Sunbaked pot echoes colours in the artwork and adds a hit of warmth.
In the second interpretation of this room, turquoise and navy accents are a more surprising combination that add lightness and a sense of fun to the room, helped along by the slightly over-the-top sheepskin. The dark blue pot is Resene Twilight Zone, while the turquoise vases are Resene Unwind, left and Resene Green Meets Blue and the side table is Resene Meditation. The smaller vase is Resene Smoothie.
