Splashing out

Aquas and teals are splashing into interiors right now, particularly accents in shades like Resene Yowza, Resene She’ll Be Right and Resene Yes Please.

But, if you’re particularly daring, try doubling down and teaming them together as this entryway does. With a feature wall in Resene Freelance and plenty of accessories in Resene Yowza and Resene Moana, this room is about as aqua as they come.

The room-defining painted rug feature, inspired by agate, makes a statement and adds plenty of interest to the Resene Wishing Well floors. With its natural, asymmetric forms, it is easy to replicate the idea in your own home. We created this one using Resene Deep Teal, Resene Maestro, Resene Hullabaloo, Resene Blue Chill, Resene Yes Please and Resene Freelance.

To balance the feature wall in Resene Freelance, pair it with a crisp white walls and ceilings in Resene Sea Fog. Top it off with deeper purple accessories in shades like Resene Valour, paler ones in Resene Reverie, and bold blue like Resene Moana.
