When Gavin Turner decided to refurbish his 1970s brown home, he found not one wall or ceiling was sufficiently well finished to paint, necessitating extra surface preparation to ensure surfaces were even before the paint was applied. Needless to say, the complete project took longer than he cares to remember!
The full refurbishment included a small extension, a new garage/workshop, carport, French doors, new bathrooms and kitchen plus a new paint job.

Once the walls were even, Gavin applied Resene Apache and Resene Xanadu
to the lounge, Resene Mantle to the secondary lounge, Resene Splash
and Resene Rainee to the hallway and stair area, Resene Splash washed
with Resene Apache on lower walls to the master bedroom, Resene Equator
in full, half and quarter strengths to the kitchen and sunporch areas
and Resene Splash, Resene Mariner and a selection of Resene testpots
to the second bedroom.

Having finished the job, Gavin is a major fan of Resene Quick Dry Acrylic Primer Undercoat and waterborne enamels - both made the extensive painting work as quick, easy and painless as possible.
