Live in colour

The Norman family moved into a new, prefabricated house by Strawberry Homes. The houses are produced in an assembly line in Napier and then transported down to Wellington (it went over the Rimutaka Hill road in one piece!), and to keep the houses affordable the interior of every house is painted entirely in off-white (Resene Quarter Thorndon Cream).

Keen to live among colour, they set about painting the house from top to bottom in a variety of Resene colours. The TV room is finished in Resene Sooty, their daughters' rooms in Resene Carousel Pink and Resene Beryl Green, the master bedroom in Resene Smalt Blue, the living and kitchen area in Resene Bianca and the bathrooms and hallway in Resene Quarter Thorndon Cream. Other features inside are a wall finished in Resene Magnetic Magic topcoated in Resene Can Can, a chest finished in Resene Tapestry and a standard lamp and kids chair in Resene Neva.

Outside they have used Resene Bokara Grey. The home backs onto Belmont Regional Park providing an every changing view of birdlife with fantails, tui, kereru and other native birds flying around outside.
