Lighter and brighter

With a lounge room in need of refreshing and lightening as they were listing the house for sale, it was time for a repaint. The chose Resene products and colours to enhance the natural light with Resene Buttery White used for the walls. The skirting was originally varnished timber, as was the wall panelling above the fireplace. The skirting was painted semi-gloss white, which was also used on the window frames.

This hundred-year-old house incorporated 22 small stained glass windows, which were originally covered over with a piece of plasterboard that they removed. The pressed tin ceiling was in very good shape, so they were able to apply the white ceiling paint system without needing a lot of preparation.
