A-door-able

When Melaina and Shane bought their first home complete with white and beige and horrid blue feature walls, they always knew they were going to be repainting. It took a few months to decide on Resene Quarter Delta for the walls. The trims and cupboard doors were painted with Resene Quarter Pearl Lusta.

Originally they planned to have all the rooms different pastel colours, but after buying a striped sofa, they knew pastel wasn’t going to cut it. They also knew the rooms were too small to stick bold colours on all four walls, and were well put off feature walls by then. So they did feature doors instead!

Grabbing inspiration from their sofa, they easily decided on Resene Disco, Resene Meteorite and Resene Citron as three of the doors. Resene Blackjack made sense to be the garage door colour and Resene Yabbadabbadoo was their favourite for the toilet door. The last two doors took a little longer to decide on, and after one ‘not quite right’ colour they finally ended up with Resene Whale Tail and Resene Gold Drop.
