Bringing the outdoors in

Unlike many home renovators, the MacDonalds have embraced bold colours. Initially hesitant, they asked family and friends who offered safe solutions and muddy non-colours. However, they wanted to bring the outdoors in and found inspiration from the vibrancy of nature to bring colour into their home.

The green, Resene Vermont, chosen for the kitchen joinery is the colour of fresh spring grass paired with white Resene Albescent White on the walls. The floors have been finished with Resene Danska Teak Oil. The kitchen looks delicate and countrified when teamed with warmer rose and golden yellow accessories plus their daughter’s NZEA artwork.
