Cottage call

Lisa and her partner purchased Oban cottage, which was originally part of the shearers' quarters belonging to a neighbouring property, and was relocated to this site in the 1920s for use as shepherds' accommodation. It has since been subdivided from the farm and sits on two acres of land. The cottage has been in poor repair for many years. They are carrying out the renovations themselves, with the help of a good friend and family members.

There was barely any paint left on the exterior when they moved here apart from some of the colour around the window frames, which they matched up to Resene Punga. They wanted to brighten it up and give it a fresh, funky feel so have used Resene Half Colonial White for the weatherboards, Resene Punga for window frames, Resene Flash Point for sills and front door and Resene Half Baltic Sea for baseboards, windows and barge boards.
