Fresh to the job

Ruchira and Shyahara were new to decorating, but open to advice. They spent a good 3-4 weeks renovating, especially the living room, stairs and hallway learning on the job, reading the Resene How to section on the Resene website and watching how to videos. Plus they got advice on colour ideas from a Resene Colour Consultant.

The project involved stripping off 25 year old wallpaper before painting with their chosen Resene colours. They painted the feature wall in Resene Stonewashed with the rest of the walls in Resene Double Rice Cake and trims in Resene Eighth Rice Cake. They are both stoked with the results and the project gave them a chance to get to know their new house at a personal level; knowing all its good points as well as weaknesses helped them turn it from a house to their first 'home'. They love the results they achieved and already have plans for future projects with rest of the rooms of the house.
