It's all in the drying

The Bates family changed their 1950s, stucco clad three bedroom, flat roofed home into a beautiful, pitched roof, five bedroom, Hardiplank weatherboard clad home adding 70 square metres of floor space.

They used Resene Ironsand CoolColour™ and Resene Helium on the exterior, with Resene Hairy Heath on the feature (faux old English brick) wall in the garden. They also painted their very sad looking wooden outdoor furniture in Resene Havoc, which now looks amazing!

Inside most of the interior walls are finished in Resene Half Pearl Lusta as Gillian tends to accessorise with red!!!

Gillian's favourite room (the office/spare bedroom) is in Resene Koru – the painter was so dubious when he opened the paint pot, then agreed afterwards it looked great. They also snuck in a sneaky kids' door between bedrooms to make hide and seek all the more fun for the kids.
