Colours for children

The Plimmer family created a new playroom downstairs by splitting a storage area.

It was only accessible by an outside door, so they had the idea of a trapdoor in their son's wardrobe that would provide quick access. The playroom is painted in Resene Pizazz, Resene Lightning Yellow, Resene Red Berry, Resene Bahama Blue, Resene Blackcurrant, Resene Turbo, Resene Fun Green, Resene Lucifer, Resene Nero and Resene White. The children's art wall is a combination of different Resene testpots.

Then it was onto the children's rooms that obviously couldn't be outdone by the playroom. Their daughter's room was first; it has a pinstriped wall with matching drawers (making it 3D like), plus a pinstriped wardrobe door and a princess throne painted in Resene metallic paint and bedazzled by mum. It's finished in Resene Studio, Resene Pelorous, Resene Black and Resene Half Sea Fog.

Their son's room is all about golf. With golf in mind they decided on an argyle feature wall in his favourite colours. Four hours of measuring, chalking and taping and they were ready to paint! They used Resene Hot Chile, Resene Black and Resene Half Sea Fog. They even put in a putting green for him to practice.

The kids totally love their new rooms and all of their friends appreciate the playroom with endless sleepovers.
