Twittering with Tweet

Well designed and built in 1968, the Burns family home withstood the devastating earthquakes with only minor damage.

Working on their kitchen they approached Millbrook Kitchens with their ideas and the team responded with an amazing, professionally finished product. 

Opening up the space was important but so was keeping the great mid-century feel.

They achieved this by incorporating Rimu into the island cabinetry and bringing the gorgeous Resene Grasscloth wallpaper from the living area right through the dining and into the kitchen.

They wanted a bank of colour on the floor to ceiling cabinetry and to integrate their appliances for a seamless look. They chose Resene Tweet, and indeed, there was much twittering in the factory when it was applied to the cabinets! Resene Wan White was used on the high gloss cabinets, with Resene Alabaster was used on the ceiling and walls to complete the look.
