Quick choices

Timelines being tight, the Smith family decided to hire a professional painter instead of their original plan of painting everything white themselves just to move in (the plan being to add colour later).

When the painter told them to add colour if they wanted, the pressure was on. All colours were chosen within the week. They have always used Resene colours in previous renovations/builds so it was straight to the Resene colour charts.

The lounge living and kitchen feature Resene Bounty - an instinctive choice that happens to match all the things Julie had bought and stored for the new house over the previous three years. The lounge features Resene Rambler to provide some depth.

The hardest decision was the white - Resene Half Sea Fog - providing the right depth of brightness and warmth.

The master bedroom and ensuite are Resene Half Robin Egg Blue, peaceful and calm. One daughter's bedroom is Resene Quarter Stack and the south facing spare room is Resene Lemon Twist - funky and warm.

The outside features West Coast cedar stained with Resene Woodsman Limed Ash and Titan board painted in Resene Innocence.
