Bringing in the personal touches

Colourful Lego Dean and Meizi bought a two storey do up loft with some very tired walls.

They entertain downstairs and have an industrial retro theme downstairs and a 90s kitchen. Changing the cupboards was too high budget wise so they painted one side of the kitchen with Resene Blackboard Paint! Their guests love it and it gives them a space to leave a special message when they visit. They are also in the middle of building a huge lego slab for their kitchen counter to bring the kitchen to life.

They wanted a relaxing place upstairs and had already kitted out the lounge with a multi-coloured rug and leather couch from Freedom, bright popping cushions to match, a DIY old school desk (literally), and a pink garden pew as the TV table. Resene Caper brought it all together - it was a beautiful 'non-offensive-green' but also unique enough to make the room pop. It also suited a framing project they are in the middle of completing - separating an old printed map into multiple antique frames and colouring in places they have travelled to.
