Bringing the colour of the view indoors

The colour scheme reflects the sky, sea and sand environment.

Hall and entranceway with a feature wall of Resene Licorice

This new home has unstained horizontal cedar cladding and black aluminium joinery. Inside the ceilings are Macrocarpa and the floors Matai. Having views to the north of Ti Point and Omaha Bay and of Little Barrier (Hauturu) Island directly in front, land, sea and sky influenced their choice of interior paint colours for the walls.

Resene Licorice adorns a feature wall in the living area and the entry wall by the stairs up to the living area.

Resene Half Sisal is on most remaining upstairs areas with Resene Quarter Sisal on kitchen walls and Resene Eighth Sisal on the upstairs ensuite and back bathroom walls. Resene Eighth Pearl Lusta on downstairs ceilings and in the bathroom adds extra light and warmth where there is no natural light.

The colour scheme reflects the sky, sea and sand environment. Hauturu Island dominates their sea view and at times is the exact colour of the feature wall.
