The walls are a rough sawn plywood panel and were previously brown and the ceiling was a creamy colour so the overall effect was very drab. This is a bach so they wanted it to be fresh and bright with a beachside feeling.

They consulted with Resene in Palmerston North and they advised them to first seal the plywood before painting, which they did, and they also said it was ok to spray with an airless spray gun. Thank goodness as they were not looking forward to painting the rough sawn boards by hand.

The chose Resene Shadow Green and Resene Lustacryl White semi-gloss enamel for the window and door frames and the book shelf that granddad made. They are so pleased with the look and the grandkids love it.
