Resene colours soften and enhance the concrete tilt-panel construction of this beach-themed home.

Elizabeth’s husband was determined to have their house built using tilt-panel construction with all the floors in polished concrete.
To soften the ‘rock-hard’ feeling in the house, and keep with the beach theme, Elizabeth chose Resene Half Joanna for the interior walls, and Resene Periglacial Blue and Resene Robin Egg Blue for feature walls in each bedroom.
The outstanding feature of the house is the entry foyer. One double height tilt-panel wall was left in its natural colour but with a polished surface. To offset the industrial look and make the entrance feel welcoming, but retain the modern style of tilt-panel, Elizabeth chose Resene Opal for the feature wall opposite the grey polished wall. Resene Opal is a clean, attractive colour that reflects a nice pastel bluish/green tone onto the grey wall. This effect brightens the light in the foyer and enhances the golden colour of the American Oak staircase.
To complete the look, Elizabeth found a stunning ‘OTT" crystal-ball light feature to add a bit of glam to the mix.

Thanks to Elizabeth.
