Renovation and restoration was the key ingredient for Holly and Jared after moving into their first home, a 1960s weatherboard house.

Still in its retro colour scheme they were looking to modernise the exterior and improve the street appeal.
The hardest part was choosing the right colours out of the Resene colour range to suit their tastes. With mum as a colour consultant, and armed with numerous testpots, they sacrificed one side of the house where they painted on and compared the different colours in the natural light of day.
The final colours they chose were Resene Silver Chalice on the weatherboards, Resene Ship Grey for the basement and Resene Black White on trims and joinery. The roof is finished in a slightly lightened version of Resene Nocturnal. The house was painted from top to toe by a professional painter.
Holly and Jared’s home now has a bright clean refreshing look – just what they were looking for.

Thanks to Holly.
