Chris and Amelia fell in love with this little house while they were still renovating another house 100 yards up the road.

Fortunately they were able to complete and sell the other house, freeing them up to begin the renovating process on this one.
Built in the 1920s, the house was in a fairly bad state of decline and it has been no small task to give some beauty and functionality back to the old girl.
Amelia has been the chief interior designer, choosing most of the style, colours and fixtures. Her choice of the whitewashed floors, using Resene Colorwood Whitewash, is stunning and has had fantastic feedback, and also helps to add more light. The kitchen light is an old industrial shade Amelia found at a garage sale. A Resene auto spray was used to bring it back to life. It too is stunning and also very functional as well.
Chris and Amelia are about two thirds through the do-up and are planning for the exterior next. Amelia is currently sorting through her many Resene testpots and a decision will be made shortly.

The dining room walls are finished in Resene Zylone Sheen tinted to Resene Quarter Tea. The same colour extends into the kitchen in Resene SpaceCote Flat Kitchen & Bathroom with white on the ceiling. The splashback is also in Resene Quarter Tea. The dining room table has been prepared with Resene Waterborne Smooth Surface Sealer and the thought is to clear finish it just to protect the existing look.
Thanks to Chris and Amelia.
