Perfect first abode

This was originally a sunroom with an arch way entrance to the master bedroom within the 100+ year old house. It was painted a yellow cream.

Nursery detail of room

In November, this little room was slowly transformed into a Scandinavian nursery for their son. The inspiration came when they chose a beautiful Moses basket with white waffle fabric lining and firmly decided on a Scandinavian look with whimsical woodland creatures from white mummy and baby bunny ornaments, a little brown deer, flower patterned stag head to cushions with a necklace and clothing wearing rabbit. Rabbits are close to their hearts as they have a mini lop named 'Cornflake'.

The Tomkinsons used Resene Alabaster on three walls and a feature wall of black and white stripe wallpaper which houses the lit stag head.

The little house shaped shadow boxes were painted in Resene Alabaster to showcase little trinkets and favourite ornaments. The little cot was also sanded back and painted in Resene Alabaster to add a fresh look and is teamed perfectly with the grey and white spotted sheeting and waffle linen.

This little space is bursting at the seams with woodland creatures and love for their son... a perfect first abode.

Thanks to Cassandra.
