Before Elenor and Graeme bought this 1905 house it hadn't seen a coat of paint in a long time. The exterior paintwork was flaking and the interior walls were old scrim, but they fell in love with the cottage and wanted to give it some overdue TLC. Now it's been modernised and the exterior looks very appealing with its Resene colour scheme of Resene Half Black White, Resene Keppel and Resene Rhino.

At a guess, they would say house is photographed 300,000 times a year! That's how many tourists are estimated to visit the street and all of them stop to photograph the cute house with the lovely roses in the garden. Once Elenor had to ask a tourist not to walk on the front porch because the paint was still wet!

The house is actually bigger inside than it looks from the outside.

The vinyl flooring in the kitchen gets a lot of positive comments. It was chosen because its design of toy streets and houses reminded Elenor of how the house looks from the top of the street.
