Deep into grey

Resene Fuscous GreyKelsey and her partner are steadily renovating each room of their home and, although the house has an overall theme, each room is a different colour.

They have used Resene Fuscous Grey in five rooms, varying in each shade: quarter, half and full. Kelsey chose Resene Fuscous Grey (full strength) for the master bedroom, as she wanted a dark, deep colour as a feature, which they could lighten up with accessories. They found it scary rolling it onto the wall, but instantly loved it and decided to paint the wardrobe doors as well for an added feature. They chose Resene Alabaster for its stark bright white contrast, and used this colour for the ceilings, scotia and skirtings.

Both love the finished room. And while Kelsey's partner isn't too happy with her pink accessories, the great thing about the Resene Fuscous Grey colour is that you can just change these things and the room will always look fresh and modern. The colour matched the carpet and the blinds perfectly and it set the tone for the rest of the house.

Kelsey comments that "painting the room yourself always makes you more proud of the result" and the finished product could not have turned out better.
