The main body of this weatherboard home stands out in Resene Tarawera, echoed in the swim-spa-pool placed against it.
The new extension housing a kitchen/dining area that leads out to a social area was painted in Resene Quarter Dutch White. The window and door trims were painted in Resene Lustacryl semi-gloss in Resene Quarter Bianca to sparkle against the lower sheen of the wall paint. The gutter and overhang continue a visual wraparound of the charcoal roof by being painted in Resene Possessed behind the dark gutter. This also brought a touch of warmth and teamed it up nicely with the Resene Quarter Dutch White.

To emphasise the main entrance door they painted it a light grey that is echoed inside the house as feature walls in the lounge, art-studio and bedroom.
Inside, most walls are painted Resene Bianca and Resene Quarter Tana. Both look lovely against the cream carpet, giving a feeling of space and light in a fairly compact home while making the carefully chosen areas of exposed wooden floor shine as the star of the show.
