Colour surprise

Behind the seemingly calm veneer of a classic white villa with a black glossy door lies a surprisingly colourful world where lemurs meet aqua and world maps meet industrial lockers.

The spacious Resene Half Tea hallway leads to a master suite with a Resene Stack feature wall and Resene Tea as the supporting colour. The ensuite continues the Resene Stack theme teamed with Resene Half Black White. The walk in wardrobe finishes the trio of Resene Stack walls.

A combination of bright Resene Tree Frog, Resene Stack and Resene Half Silver Chalice is painted in one son’s room, while the other enjoys bright Resene Yabbadabbadoo with Resene Half Silver Chalice and Resene Half Tea. Each son chose their own colours. The elegance of the classic villa and chandelier combination is turned on its head with these bright and vivacious feature walls.

The spare room has a feature wall of Resene Blue Lagoon against a beautiful, multi-coloured chandelier.

Moving into the heart of the house, the kitchen combines the classic lines of Resene Licorice with Resene Villa White.

The recently renovated bathroom is a delight of Resene Half Black White and beautiful lemurs from the Resene Wallpaper Collection - all those sparkly little eyes, shimmering on a silver background transforms the room into a rainforest retreat.

The spacious lounge in Resene Tea has a stunning feature wall of Resene Nero, which comes into its own in the evening.

The other day Karen’s friend described the house as "like something from a magazine", which is such a wonderful compliment to get! Karen loves it all too and is often to be found at her local Resene ColorShop looking for her next colour or wallpaper.
