With busy creative lives as a filmmaker and a designer, the Brittens wanted to create a majestic space at home to relax and unwind, but also to live their best life day to day.

They decided on a monochromatic colour palette with black features on doors, frames and the fireplace and Resene Black White paint on the walls, to help create a gallery feel and showcase Sam’s photographic art.

This dream home has been created on a micro-budget, reminding us all that clever choices can transform spaces without breaking the bank.
