While her husband isn’t a builder by trade, he clearly has a knack for creating. He has built a set of stairs with a landing, a fireplace inspired by a picture and installed a beautiful kitchen they had stored in a back room for years.

Both have shared the painting and decorating. The interior is finished in Resene Half Spanish White, Resene Quarter Spanish White and Resene Quarter Gargoyle. Outside is a combination of Resene Coffee Bean on the lower floor with Resene Oilskin on the top floor, topped off with Resene Lignite on the roof.

Judy’s husband turns 70 next year and is hoping he can now retire from renovating.
