The house Karen’s family has just completed building is in a lower economic area but slowly going through gentrification. A number of flats had recently been deemed an earthquake risk and been demolished.

They were excited to be building something that is lifting the area and therefore searched for quality paint and colours to bring some pizazz to the street. Karen collected a number of the habitat by Resene books to help in choosing the right colour scheme especially for the exterior. In one of the habitat plus booklets she found the perfect colours.

As the house backs on to reserve with a backdrop of hills and bush the natural colours of Resene Half Napa – on the walls, Resene Half Masala – on the base boards and fencing, and an Ironsand roof are a beautiful blend. But bold Resene Ayers Rock is the real favourite and brings the house to life. They initially planned to use it just on the columns but decided that a bit on the iron fencing would bring it all together.
Look down the driveway from the street and the Resene Ayers Rock columns make the entrance way pop!
Thanks to Karen.
