David and Sylvia moved into their Art Deco home and started renovating just a few months later.
The house needed a completely new kitchen as the existing room was tired, bland and functionally flawed. There was a laundry attached to the kitchen, now converted into a butler’s pantry.

Sylvia had always wanted to make a bold statement in the kitchen, which led to the choice of orange. They sampled a fair few testpots before deciding on the lovely, retro-looking Resene Clockwork Orange. This has been teamed with creamy Resene Half Spanish White for the walls and ceiling and finished off with Resene Eagle for the doors and windows.

The black granite benchtop contrasts beautifully with the boldness of the orange cabinetry and the texture of the splashback tiling. The original Rimu floors mirror the feeling of warmth that Resene Clockwork Orange provides.
Thanks to David and Sylvia.
