Lizard like

Rough textured walls can be extremely difficult to paint as Kate found out when she decided to paint an external plaster wall, handrail and gate. The heavily textured surface required three times as much paint as had been estimated to fully cover it. The upper portion of the wall couldn't be reached from the ground, so it was a matter of setting up the abseil ropes to finish the job off.

The palette of Resene Deep Koamaru, Resene Pompadour and Resene Milk Punch (on the lizard) was speedily decided in just one afternoon. Unfortunately the painting was a considerably more difficult task with 14 days required to complete the job from top to bottom.

The lizard was handpainted in a base of Resene Milk Punch and accented with other Resene hues, before it was carefully positioned on its new home climbing what was once a practical retaining wall, but now a garden feature wall.
