The Cuff family had originally decided to remove the very dark stain off the panelling in the hallway. After weeks of scraping the varnish off with a planer and sanding they were still faced with a very dark hallway. There was just too much wood and the floors seemed to run up the walls.

Much to the horror of many wood loving friends, they decided to paint the wooden panelling using a sealing coat of Resene Smooth Surface Sealer topped by three coats of Resene Bianca and an accent of Resene Crusta to create the desired bright and sunny look. Finally the old light shades were replaced with something more modern.

The transformed hallway now looks bright and fresh. Before the Cuff family needed extra lighting to be installed but now it lights itself.

And even their wood loving friends have had to admit that they love the new look too.
