Decorating inspiration gallery
Landmark houseThe Fraser family purchased their villa "The Landmark", listed with the Historic Trust and c. 1906, in 2000 and lived in it for a year before starting the restoration work. It had been a silver service restaurant for 20 years with no garage, a commercial kitchen and most of the rooms used for dinning with the accommodation upstairs. To date they have rewired, reroofed, added a double garage/loft and fence, replaced the commercial kitchen and bar with a domestic kitchen in keeping with the villa style but adding in mod cons. The home is being restored with a thought that perhaps one day it could be a B and B or homestay for avid golfers due to its handy location to the Rotorua Golf Course located just across the road. The family/dining room features Resene Jazz with ceilings and joinery in white and walls of Resene Milk White from the Resene Karen Walker collection.
The downstairs bathroom walls are decorated with white tiles, green dado and wallpaper with a ceiling feature in Resene Dell.
