Inviting colour

A once tired villa has been refreshed with some bold colour choices. The Gallon family took full advantage of a great Resene paint sale transforming their home from dull and boring to warm, colourful and inviting.

After checking out the Resene EzyPaint virtual painting software and using the Resene CoolColour technology, which allowed them to use darker colours, they chose Resene Ravishing for the weatherboards, Resene Secret Garden for the window frames and Resene Rendevous for the sashes. After some thought, they added Resene Nero on the guttering and Resene Alibi on the shingles above the front windows.

Best of all they found that the "excellent quality of Resene paint meant we got great coverage and strong colour with only two coats of paint".

Moving inside they tried out the Resene Karen Walker range in Shelley’s mum's bedroom. The Bauhaus inspired colours look beautiful with the period features.  Resene Periglacial Blue works well on the woodwork combined with Resene Blanched Pink on two walls.

And as Shelley says "Thanks, Resene, for putting colour back into our lives.  Next it's the kitchen...".
