Country style

The Fowler family project started with a full refit of the kitchen, ripping out old units, refitting external doors to the garden, and fitting brand new units, benchtops and appliances.

Keen to create a country feel to the kitchen, and with the room encompassing the dining area also, it was important a sense of continuity was achieved. Helen selected a soft country colour, for both the kitchen and dining areas, which could take a splash of colour from future accessories, artwork and crockery.

Quarter Parchment on kitchen units

With the Resene Parchment range of colours, Helen was able to use various strengths in different areas, but retain a co-ordinated look. Resene Quarter Parchment was used for the kitchen units, being professionally applied by the kitchen supplier, while Resene Double Parchment was used on the walls throughout the kitchen and dining areas.

And Resene Parchment will be called into service again soon on some old chairs, which once painted will be matched to a small table to create a cosy coffee area in the kitchen.

Thanks to the Fowler family.
