As colour trends come and go, there’s one shade that never seems to spend much time in the shadows, and that’s black. Black is timeless and creates an edgy, dramatic feel especially as a full-room treatment. Tempered with comfortable furniture and feel-good accent colours, that same room turns into an inviting cocooning space – the perfect look for a second living area, den or snug. Black is intensely versatile and can be used with an almost endless range of other colours, either in full-on partnership such as the classic black and white, or by using other colours as accents. Not all Resene blacks are created equal with a huge range of “blacks” in the colour collections – bitter brown/blacks, swampy blacks, midnight blue/blacks, soft charcoal blacks as well as the denser “true” blacks.
