All eyes are on this glam powder room, which embraces its dark and moody setting

Not much light filtered into Mel Spooner's Remuera powder room, so interior designer Clare Kitching of PeachHaus Design and Development decided to embrace the lack of light to create a dark and moody space with a nod to Hollywood glamour.
She chose to paint the walls, ceiling and all the trims in Resene Fast Forward. "It's a beautiful deep slate blue warmed with a moody undertone of green," she says. "This colour makes the brass details and walnut vanity stand out when lit up by the vintage light from the Czech Republic."
