How to make your own hex noticeboard

Turn a piece of cork into a handy and colourful noticeboard.
Hex noticeboard
You will need
- Resene testpots in your choice of colours; Nikki used Resene Biloba Flower, Resene Vitality and Resene She’ll Be Right
- Paintbrushes
- Two pieces of hex-shaped cork board (you can also cut a square piece into a hex shape)
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Masking tape
- Superglue
- Hammer and nail
- String
Instructions
- Super glue the two hex shapes together and leave to dry.
- Use the pencil and ruler to mark out lines on the cork, and then mask out the stripes.
- Paint the lines using the Resene testpots and leave to dry.
- Use the hammer and nail to pierce a hole at the top of each corner of the cork, from where the string will hang from. Thread the string and knot.
- Hang your noticeboard. You’re now ready to start using your new noticeboard!
Top tip: Coat your string to match your noticeboard. Dip your string in one of your Resene paint colours and hang it to dry over a small container. Once dry cut to your desired length and use it to hang your noticeboard.
