How to create abstract art

If you’re someone who often looks at abstract art and thinks to yourself “I could do that,” this project will be right up your alley. We found this frame with double glass sheets (giving it a clear backing) from Kmart. The trick to this is being free with your brush strokes… and look at an array of abstract art for other pattern ideas, also. View instructions...
You will need:
- Frame with two sheets of glass
- Resene testpots in Resene Black and Resene Merino
- testpot brushes
Step by step instructions
Step one
Carefully remove both sheets of glass from the frame, using protective gloves or something similar.
Step two
Taking the first frame, paint your abstract pattern with swishes of Resene Black. Leave to dry.
Step three
Gently place the second sheet on top of the first (once again, using protective gear), and repeat the pattern over the top, this time painting with Resene Merino. Leave to dry.
Step four
Place the sheets back into the frame, with the glass painted in Resene Merino on top.
